What’s Merdeka?

Friday, August 31st, 2007

What’s merdeka? Anyone felt like it’s merdeka today? 50th anniversary and no fireworks. Yeah yeah they banned fireworks. So are they just shooting papers up the sky at Putrajaya to compete? Whatever lah. Stupidity.

Went to KLPAC yesterday with Samantha to watch a musical. I fell in love with plays/musicals after I watched Frankenstein in Love the first time. I’m very amazed that they speak perfectly and the way they perform every play. You guys should watch a play, and you’ll know what I feel.

Wrong hand lah dear. :P

It was Tunku the Musical starring Tony Eusoff and Douglas Lim. You still have chance to watch tho! Tonight’s their last night performing at 8.30pm! The actors in this musical are so good in singing! Each and every one of them! No pitches. No out of tunes! Seriously they can beat our local artiste any time. Oh! There’s this lady who sang so high tune, perfectly!

This was when I just sat down. Was trying to capture a picture of what’s inside like but a lady came to me and said no photography of any kind are allowed without permission. Too bad.

After watching the musical, we went to Ginny’s uncle house for BBQ. Stay tuned !

One Day To Merdeka

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

Went to Bakerzin last week at KLCC with Samantha.

New menu book. :O

While waiting for the food to come, I took some pictures. I like one this the most among the pictures. :D

Her Irish Bailey’s Souffle. According to her, it was very nice and well made. Too bad I don’t really like it. :P

My lamb stew. Quite nice. But. Not much meat. Not really worth for the price I paid.

And lastly, our blueberry soda which tasted like.. water. Those 1 ringgit grape drink which you can get by the roadsides are much better than this one!_______________________________________________________________________________________

It’s one more day to Merdeka! I know most of you will not be celebrating and take it as another holiday. But can’t you guys as least show some respect. It’s your own country, damnit. At least fork out few ringgits to buy a flag and stick it in your car or hang outside your house. Stop blaming the politics. Stop blaming other people for what had happened.

What’s the use blaming them? Imagine you saw someone robbing an old lady. Don’t tell me you’re just gonna sit there and blame her for being old. Take actions. Help her. Don’t just stand there and whine.

Argh.

So how are you guys planning to celebrate our 50th anniversary independance day? Or are you still with Oh-I’m-Not-Celebrating-Because-I-Dont-Give-A-Damn?

McDonald’s India

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007

So you think you know McDonald’s menu very well? Think again. From McDonalds India here are some of their menu burgers you most probably never tried before.

“Hello, welcomede to McDonalds India. Mey I have your orderr please?”

McDonalds in India.

In India there are no Big Macs because the Hindus don’t eat beef. However, they have the Maharaja Mac which is made of chicken or lamb meat.

Don’t be fooled. There are no curries. It’s a mix of broccoli and mushroom topped with cheese! Don’t you think it looks like a coffin. They should call it the McCurry Coffin.

Check this out. McAloo Tikki. It’s a vegetarian burger made of fried breaded potato and peas patty. Sounds funny. Remember this song - Calcutta?

Calcutta, I am a taxi driver in,
Calcutta, I drive my little taxi in,
Calcutta, taxi taxi taxi in,
Calcutta, I am a taxi driver man!

Heck, imagine their advertisement with a funny Indian singing to it.

McAloo, I am a McAloo Tikki,
McAloo, I am a McAloo Tikki,
McAloo, I am a McAloo Tikki,
McAloo, I am from McDonalds India!
